Long weekend in August was approaching. The weather forecast was hot, and we definitely wanted to go somewhere by the sea. After reviewing the surrounding area within about 250 km, we decided on Bibione in Italy. Due to the high season, we obviously couldn’t book a spot in any of the campsites, but we still set off on Wednesday afternoon to try our luck with accommodation. We arrived in Bibione quickly, but then we spent a long time searching for a campsite that had an available plot where we could park our VW California Beach T6.1.

More than the occupancy of the camps, the problem was that we wanted to stay for 4 nights, but almost all providers required a minimum of 7 days. Nevertheless, luck smiled upon us at the Villago Turistico Internazionale campsite: https://www.vti.it/en/. They had a free spot at their small Camper stop place. A great area on pavement with access to the campsite and everything campsite offers, including pools, restaurants, bars, animation, and endless sandy beaches. I can’t praise the campsite enough; it’s really well-maintained and has everything one needs for a holiday. Although it’s among the more expensive campsites, it’s worth every euro. It deserves 5 stars. Interestingly, we didn’t meet any Slovenians. Apparently, Slovenians are not very familiar with this part of the coast; we had never been here ourselves, even though Bibione is only about 2 hours away from Ljubljana. We will come back for sure.
